Regular Season Round 30: LG Sakers - KoGas 69-67

The most exciting game of round 30 in the KBL took place in Changwon. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengersKoGas (18-15) to third ranked Sakers (20-13) 69-67 in the game for the third place. It was a good game for Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Junseok Yang (179-2001) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) added 23 points and 7 assists in the effort for KoGas. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sakers have an impressive six-game winning streak. LG Sakers maintains third position with 20-13 record having six points less than leader Seoul Knights. KoGas at the other side keep the fourth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Suwon KT.
